Tech Joke: Rolling In The Deep

My Computer Suddenly Started Singing “Someone Like You.”
Turns out, my computer was a Dell (Adele).

If you do not know much about Dell, here is your chance to learn about it. A student at the University of Texas, Michael Dell, founded Dell in 1984. At that time it was called “PC’s Limited”.  He was able to start the company with $1000 and wanted to serve his customer with customized personal computers that suited their needs. This vision of customization is what distinguished Dell from its competitors, as customers were able to fully customize their personal computer through the order process.

Here are some fun facts about Dell for you:

  • Dell was the first to install Red Hat Linux on corporate systems.
  • The 10 largest U.S. companies, top 5 U.S. commercial banks, and top 6 internet service companies run on Dell computers.
  • 9 of the Dell facilities in the Europe and the U.S. are powered by 100% green energy.
